Longman Dictionary of English App Reviews

I think the former edition, LDOCE 5+, is so far more and more better than that edition, LDOCE 6. I have both editions, LDOCE 5+ and LDOCE 6, have paid for both of them. But, unfortunately, LDOCE 5+ which is perfect and so much better than the LDOCE 6 doesnt work since I have updated iOS 9. Please make LDOCE 5+ to work for me and others who paid for it, please. I love LDOCE 5+ because it is perfect dictionary and the best dictionary in the world. I dont like the last edition. Please Longman, do something to make LDOCE 5+ to work with iOS 9 for us who have paid for it, please

My Lcode5 was 900 mb. The aplication is 36 mb. This is a diry work.

Not exactly what I expected. I could not find some words on my advanced book, sorry but I disappointed.

The app does not work, a complete waste of money

Longman is the best dictionary for learners, but it doesnt work on iOS 9. Developers must update an app before the release of a new system, not after. Also, I would like to say that you, Pearson Team, have always done an unserious job. The design is still ancient, search correction suggests strange and nonexistent words, and now you cannot update your app in time. We live in the digitalized world, when everyone uses the dictionary in a smartphone or a tablet. If you dont start focusing on your app, people will just forget about you and begin using another dictionaries. Please realise that, before its too late.

It used to be my favourite application helping me a lot in my work. After updating iOS 9 it wont open and nothing helps. Tried deleting and installing it again, in vain. Its definitely the problem of compatibility with iOS 9. The failure of the team to update the app is really disappointing.

Please, fix the app. It doesnt open. I need so much. Thanks

The brand new Longman dictionary of contemporary English for advanced students. More user-friendly and with the list of 9000 words you need to know actively at an advanced level. I had the 5th edition but have updated to the 6th. New feature by Pearson is the vocabulary checker which tells you how frequent the item of vocab is and whether the word is academic. Great stuff!

Does not work in my iPhone. I sent three emails to support app. They did not even reply to my emails.

Its Crashing,complicated, and the search not good as LDOCE5. Please dont waste your money.

Please help to make vertical rotation for iPad. The examples should have some other colors to make viewers not to bore to read and easy to comprehend. The content pretty much the same with version 5. I think they are the same Company (version 5 and 6) but just change the owner to make people pay for the new version without confronting with unavoidable complains to pay twice.

After all the complaints about the new update, its good to see that at least the bookmarks are back. Yet, I lost all my valuable notes that I was told to have them back but it never happened! Thanks for the book marks. But please have the thesaurus and their meanings and that valuable grammar notes back. The new design and color is awful. Its depressing and dark. And unfortunately I see that other dictionaries are changing to the new design. The logo and the inside theme was colorful but the new one is as if it had been done by a non professional. Please dont do that to yourself and to us. Cause you will lose a lot by changing the design to this gloomy, dark, depressing new design.

Perfect,simple,clean interface and offline sound. It worth the money I paid and I am really happy.

this is worse dictionary.i want my cash back.i want 5 version back.

I bought it today, my iOS (9.3.1) is up to date. When i run it on my iPad, It crashes. Plz fix bug.
