Pros and cons of Longman Dictionary of English app for iPhone and iPad

Im not exaggerating when I say its the best dictionary available! Its easy to use and is the most comprehensive!

I would like to have the examples sentences available offline (like Oxford does in OALD).

The app didnt crash once, and it works very good. Although its online, its the best dictionary for English learner.

The brand new Longman dictionary of contemporary English for advanced students. More user-friendly and with the list of 9000 words you need to know actively at an advanced level. I had the 5th edition but have updated to the 6th. New feature by Pearson is the vocabulary checker which tells you how frequent the item of vocab is and whether the word is academic. Great stuff!

Perfect,simple,clean interface and offline sound. It worth the money I paid and I am really happy.

Some bad moments

Be careful, this is a real scam. They say there is full text search, search for phrasal verbs, search from other apps via the sharing menu. None of this really works! Better you buy the older LDOCE plus. Although it is based on the fifth and not on the sixth edition. The vocabulary is highly identical, but the app functionality is much better.

Its rubbish update .where is my bookmarks?Its need internet.how can downgrade ?my money is lost....

I used to love this application and recommend friends download it, but unfortunately there are many advantages are gone after this bad update N. 6. I really dont like this update, and would get my money again if this update is still existed. Also, Do NOT waste your money with this application if it does not come back again I like the version 5

I love the older version much more than this update, all essential features have just gone! The interface looks just alright, but where are the tables and thesaurus? Even the example sentences have been hid. Also the links to other dictionaries have gone! The pervious version allow me to see explanation on other dictionaries, but this sample option has just gone. Another thing has to complain about is all my saved words in favorite have no longer existed in the new update. My expected features havent appeared in the update, such as downloadable example sentences. Please do something to fix those issues or give the older version back!

This 6th edition is no upgrade at all on the 5th edition which was much better designed and much more user-friendly. I have wasted my money and advise those of you who have the previous version to stick with it and not buy this app.

The new update isnt functional. The interface is less intuitive than the previous version. The copy function to Evernote is also more limited, doesnt work well. Sometimes the app shuts down by itself.
