Longman Dictionary of English App Reviews

Revert to previous version please!!! Doesnt like the new design at all!!! We spent more than $30 for this app, now I feel I would rather use the website to search.

The new version does corporate with ios9, but the size of the apps in the past was 1.2GB, currently, is only 30 MB, and every time check everything need to connect to the Internet, if this happen why should spend 30 dollars to buy your app? I could only use your website dictionary! And the importance of vocabulary becomes vague,and the size of the character is tooooo small. If the publisher will not update the version and will not keep the quality as the 5th editions, I really need the publisher refund my money back!!!

It doesnt work like other versions. It doesnt have hint option like LDOCE5 . If you dont know the spelling you cannot find it. They should call this app LDOCE 0 instead of 6. They should have improved it or at least made it like other versions before lunching it in App Store. I dont understand how they can claim for this amount of money. DO NOT PAY FOR IT

I will never ever buy like this app because they do not respect how bought that app by 29.99 $ after that the developer made downgrade not upgrade. Another hand, we are trying to contact the developer but he did not respond. :(

After update, this doesnt work very well and always closes by itself automatically. Please help fix it,thanks.

The app didnt crash once, and it works very good. Although its online, its the best dictionary for English learner.

Comparing with 5th edition , its a disappointed app for its fewer content and functions. And I doubt that an app with only 36.5M size is better than another one with 1.2G size. Its not worth to buy, let alone the price of it is $34.99.

Fix this app or give me back money immediately!!!

アップデート前の history が消えました。最悪です。 またiPhone が日本語入力の場合LDOCE を立ち上げても日本語入力のままです。アップデート前は自働的に英語入力に切り替わりましたが。

学習用辞書として悪くないが、使いやすさはOxford Advanced Learners Dictionary (OALD)に負ける。致命的な弱点は、フレーズ検索ができないこと。例えば make a scene という表現を調べる場合、sceneという単語を検索して、その定義の中でイディオムを探さないといけない。OALDならmake scene（冠詞なしでも可）と入れて検索すると一発で例文にたどり着く。この差を埋めないとOALDには勝てない。

I bought this dictionary because I wanted to use offline, but Im disappointed that picture and pronunciation are not available offline. And it takes time when starting up... Really hope to improve...

what? where is the word origin? it is getting worse!

Suddenly, I cant hear sound of word and sentence. My device is I pad mini4. Its available for me to hear the sounds on this App on iPad Air 2. Please, amend this problem as soon as possible.

Ive already purchased LDOCE5 before. I was using it on iPhone and iPad properly. After I upgrade my iPad to ios9, LDOCE5 no longer works on iPad. I decided to wipe it away on my iPad and than to download it again in order to refresh it, so I would be able to use it again properly. But unfortunately I didnt succeed in working LDOCE5. Ive just purchased this new one, but this is also not working on my iPad. Is it fair? I have paid for the same dictionary twice! Is it fair!??

I had a Ldoce5 detail dictionary app has a lot of features before. Now, after upgrade it is awful. There is nothing!! Where is ldoce5, it was 900 mb. I paid money for it. Ldoce6 is 30 mb. It has no features such as grammer part!! You are cheating? This is not upgrade, this is downgrade!!! Please compensate urgently!!!

İt seems to have a better design and interface at first sight but i feel the previous version was much more comprehensive with more illustrated words and more options in settings.This new one needs to be further developed.

After upgrade my LDOCE I noticed that the previous one is more useful than this.Please solve the problem..This is really shame.I paid money for it and want to use the previous one.

After Ldoce5 900mb. this app is 30 mb now. Make a refund to me. I will write you a feedback. DO NOT BUY this app. Old version: we were able to listen the words offline. That was good. New version: we need internet connection and wait downloading of the audio file to listen!!! Very slow and you dont want to use online dictionary. Do not buy this dictionary!!!
